What the petition asks
The Speaker should be responsible for ensuring ministers give clear answers and that MPs are heard without distraction, supporting transparency for both Parliament and the public.
PMQs should provide meaningful scrutiny, not political point-scoring. When ministers avoid questions, the public lose faith in the process. Requiring clear answers and stronger moderation would improve respect, restore accountability, and ensure PMQs fulfils its purpose as a forum for democratic oversight.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament as a whole aren't responsible for the issue you raise.
