Hold a referendum on planned changes to trial by jury

What the petition asks
We believe the Government has no right to abolish or restrict trial by jury without a referendum.
This is a right that has been held for over 800 years and we think no Government should have the authority to amend it without consent of the people, whom it serves. We believe it has the potential to be abused politically, to erode our democracy, stifle free speech, and incarcerate political opponents and political critics within society.
