Petition
Cancel the planned '3p per mile' for EVs and Hybrids from 2028
Rejected

What the petition asks
Cancel the planned 2028 '3p per mile' tax for EV and Hybrid vehicles as this will not support EV take up for greener transport and it is essentially taxing EV owners twice as they already pay £196 Vehicle Excise Duty.
The government needs to rethink the plan and/or remove the £196 VED fee for zero emission vehicles, so that owners won't be hit two forms of taxation just to drive their vehicle.
