Petition

Protect jury trials as stated in our 1689 bill of rights

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

This government wants to scrap most jury trials. This is our right under the English constitution. Our bill of rights 1689 states we have the right to a fair trial by jury. Jury trials have been around for over 800 years and the bedrock of freedom and democracy. This must be protected always.
If this labour party are allowed to scrap jury trials.then we will all loose something sacred and precious. If you have no jury then trials are not fair. Mis carriages of justice will be common place. For over 800 years we have had trial by jury and the English constitution is the greatest set of laws ever written.America have a version of this as their constitution. We can not ever scrap this.it must be saved forever
