What the petition asks
Reject attempts to create 'AI Rights'. Codify the Human Right to monopolies on Autonomy, on Liberty, and on Creative Endeavour.
There has been talk of AI "sentience". If this were believed to exist, the possible outcome could be legislation to protect AI Rights. This would potentially become profoundly destabilising to the Rights of Humans. AI has encroached, and continues to encroach, upon fundamental Human endeavours and experiences that nourish and enrich our very lives, endeavours such as free socialisation and free association with other Humans, Human autonomy in the creation of music or other art are being eroded.
