Petition

Lower the age a child can be arrested and charged

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Change the law so that anyone under the age of 10 who commit acts of physical and verbal abuse can be prosecuted and convicted if need be
Revise the current law regarding children can only be prosecuted and arrested once they turn 10 until they turn ten they can act in unreasonable manners and they have no consequence
Lower the arrest and charge age

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

You seem to be calling both for the age limit to be lowered, and to be scrapped.

You could start a new petition stating clearly what you'd like the Government to do.
