Fund local community litter crews and fund education around littering

What the petition asks
Create and fund local “Litter Crews” in every community to help reduce litter, improve public spaces, and run education programmes that encourage people not to litter.
Litter is a growing problem in towns and cities. We feel that councils often don’t have enough resources to keep public spaces clean, and existing fines are not changing behaviour.
Government-funded Litter Crews could:
• Keep streets, parks and public areas clean
• Work with schools and community groups on anti-litter education
• Encourage pride in local areas
• Reduce long-term clean-up costs by changing behaviour
This could create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming communities for everyone.
