What the petition asks
Lower the cost of citizenship and passport applications for people who were born in the UK or have lived here since early childhood, recognizing that they have grown up, studied, worked, and built their lives entirely in Britain and consider it their home.
Reduce citizenship fees or introduce fee waivers for low-income individuals and families. simplify the route to citizenship for people who have lived in the UK since childhood. (i.e no British test needed) Ensure citizenship is accessible to all children and long-term residents by removing financial barriers, so it reflects people’s lives, contributions, and ties to the UK, while promoting fairness, stronger communities, and social cohesion.
