Petition
Review and Reform the Use of Operation Brock on the M20
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
We call on the Government to urgently review and reform Operation Brock on the M20. Its frequent use causes severe disruption to residents, businesses, emergency services and the environment. Fairer, more effective alternatives must be developed and communities consulted
We want the Government to carry out an independent review of Operation Brock, restrict its use to genuine emergencies only, and develop alternative traffic management solutions that do not place a disproportionate burden on Kent residents and businesses. The Government should improve coordination with ports and border agencies, properly consult affected communities, and ensure emergency services and local roads are not routinely disrupted.
Why it was rejected
It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
