Fund screening of prostate cancer for all men over 50, every 2 years

What the petition asks
Fund screening for prostate cancer for all men over 50 years of age every 2 years. Men with higher PSA levels, higher risk or family history should be screened more frequently. Men over 70 years of age should be monitored on a case by case basis.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men in the UK, with risk rising sharply after 50 and few early symptoms. Widespread screening would detect disease earlier, improve survival, and reduce costly late-stage treatment. A national programme would also tackle health inequalities, raise awareness of men’s health, and give men informed choice—bringing prostate cancer in line with other UK screening programmes.
