Petition

Reinstate and protect our Green Belt

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Reinstate and protect Green Belt, giving nature the home it deserves and promoting our mental health and wellbeing.
Promote redevelopment of properties or brown classed sites rather than building developments on our Green Belt. Green Belt should be protected by the government for nature, future generations, air quality, our mental health and wellbeing.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Greenbelt still exists as a concept, and it is unclear what additional protections you would like to introduce.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as banning all new developments on Greenbelt land.
