What the petition asks

Stop Inverclyde from raising council tax once again, it was raised last year by 8% however the council had the utter audacity to the give their councillors an 8 % pay increase which is utterly deplorable.
One of the most impoverished area in Inverclyde and yet the council continue to take from people’s
Pockets to line their own pockets with corrupt council leader.

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.

This is a local issue that doesn't fall under the responsibility of the UK Government of or Parliament, so I am afraid we can't accept it. You may wish to petition the Scottish Parliament instead.
