Petition
Allow small pets to travel in aircraft cabins when entering the UK

What the petition asks
Review and update UK rules that require pets to travel as cargo. Introduce a controlled system allowing small cats and dogs to travel in aircraft cabins when entering the UK, under strict health, safety and biosecurity conditions, with airline discretion.
“The UK is one of the only countries requiring pets to travel as cargo when entering the country, causing unnecessary stress, welfare risks and high costs for owners. Many UK families living abroad are forced into long, complex journeys to avoid cargo. Other countries allow in-cabin pet travel safely with strict controls. A regulated UK system would improve animal welfare and support returning families without increasing disease risk.”
