What the petition asks
The parliament debated to reduce the school week from five days, to four days. Although, this would only apply to state-funded schools, we want it to apply to independent schools.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Operational schooling/teaching arrangements for private/independent schools lie outside the Government's direct responsibility.
