Petition

Bring in baby loss certificates to Wales, Scotland and Ireland

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Baby loss certificates for babies lost before 24 weeks were introduced for England ONLY in 2024 but not available in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. We would like the government to make them available for people in the whole of the UK, and not just people in England
I would like the government to make baby loss certificates available for the whole of the uk. I’ve read a few articles saying that wales and Ireland will be doing it but no date has been set for this. This is something that should be available for everyone in the UK not just England. I’ve spoken to a few people that feel this would help massively and bring comfort to parents that have lost a pregnancy/baby before 24 weeks

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Your petition is about something that the Welsh Government and Welsh Parliament is responsible for. That means that the UK Government and Parliament can't look into it.
