Government to review local authority fees for grassroot football

What the petition asks
We believe grassroots football is a vital pillar of British life. It is fun, builds essential physical fitness, and acts as a lifeline for the nation’s mental health, preventing thousands of cases of depression annually.
We want a reasonable pitch fee to be the standard across the county that is affordable to everyone.
However, we feel that extortionate pitch hire fees from local councils are pricing us out. In some regions, costs have jumped 130%, making the "people’s game" a luxury. We urge the Government to review and consider regulating these costs to protect these community hubs before more clubs are forced to fold.
