Make it mandatory for all MPs to complete an enhanced DBS check

What the petition asks

I want the government to debate this issue and hopefully bring all MPs into line with other persons that are subject to having to complete DBS in order to carry out their work.
I feel it is unsatisfactory that they should be excluded in this day and age.

Members of Parliament occupy positions of exceptional trust, power, and access. They make laws that govern the lives of others, routinely interact with vulnerable individuals, and enjoy privileged access to schools, charities, care settings, and constituent casework involving children and adults at risk.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
