Lower the cost of British Citizenship applications to £800

What the petition asks
We think the current cost of applying for British citizenship is disproportionately high and creates a real barrier for people who have lived, worked, and paid taxes in the UK for many years.
The actual administrative cost is around £575, yet applicants are charged £1605. Citizenship should reflect integration and contribution, not financial privilege. Reducing the fee to £800 would be fair, transparent, and just make it easier to apply for many people.
