Urge India to protect religious minorities from violence & discrimination
Open for signatures

What the petition asks
We call on the UK Government to raise concerns with the Indian Government about increasing communal violence and discrimination against religious minorities, particularly Muslims, in India, following reports from human rights organisations on this matter.
Numerous organisations, including UN bodies and human rights groups, have reported acts of violence, laws, and rhetoric which we believe disproportionately affect Muslim communities in India. We urge the UK Government to raise these concerns with India’s Government, consider human rights when engaging in trade and strategic agreements with India as a democratic partner, and reaffirm the UK’s commitment to protecting religious freedom and minority rights globally.
