Petition
Extend Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act to England
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
Pass legislation which makes it a legal right for local authorities to provide free, universal access to menstrual products in England. A range of products must be made easily and conveniently available via schools, colleges, workplaces, and public spaces
Women and people with cycles spend a staggering £20,359* on menstrual care in their lifetime. Equitable access to period care is essential, not optional. England should follow Scotland’s lead to ensure dignity, access and health equity for all who menstruate, helping to ease the disproportionately unfair financial burden for people with cycles. By making this a legal right, England can be a leader in health equity and ensure that financial hardship is not burdened by menstruation. *OnePoll
