Petition
Central Government to fix Hampshire County Council's failures in road management
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The state of the roads in Hampshire - especially Eastleigh and surronding areas a sign of gross neglect by Hampshire County Coucil, despite increasing council tax every year. This needs to be invesitgated and put right. The residents are desperate.
Hampshire County Council has absolved it self of responsibilties citing near bankruptcy and no funds. The state of the roads is not just disrepair but outright extremely dangerous. The Central Government needs to intervene as the County Council will not do anything. Temporary patch repairsare few and far in between, and do not last. The county councillors must be held to account. Constiuents all over thr borough are beyond exasperated.
Why it was rejected
It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
