What the petition asks
On Friday, students should be given a day of personal study, where they can work on their own interests. This would be effective by turning the {teachers} classrooms into a study environment. The school day should include an extended break time so students can solve personal problems.
I believe this change would improve 3 main factors in school circumstances: Mental health, Effective study, Quality of life.
Studies have shown that students are more motivated to endure the week ahead of them when they are aware of a reward at the end of the week. Letting students choose their own study would help them discover their personal interests and guide them for what subjects to pick in Yr9 options. Longer break would give students the time to solve their issues with Teachers/Wellbeing.
