Standardised aftercare information and follow-up after endometriosis surgery

What the petition asks
We want the Government to ensure national mandatory, standardised post-operative aftercare guidance for patients undergoing endometriosis surgery, with information tailored to the severity and extent of surgery.
Patients are often discharged without clear guidance & wait months for a follow up, regardless of surgical severity.
Conversely, the NHS routinely provides discharge information for many other conditions.
We call on Government to ensure the NHS provides standardised, severity-based post-operative information following endometriosis surgery, including recovery timelines, work/activity guidance, red-flag symptoms etc, thus improving patient safety, recovery outcomes & consistency of care.
