Petition

Create support and a pathway for ARFID and make more professionals aware in UK.

What the petition asks

ARFID affects approximately 5% out of 1.25 million children and adults with an eating disorder the uk, that’s tens of thousands. For many it is life threatening and there is no pathway. We are expected to watch ourselves or kids fade away due to lack of support and knowledge. Help is in few areas.
ARFID can be fatal and should be taken seriously. The recent changes are good but not enough. Me and many others have found it is still a postcode lottery, there is more help in one area than another and this isn’t good. We need pathways and support in every area and we need people equipped to deal with the more severe ARFID and those who can’t eat at all too. This is such an important matter, it shouldn’t be like this, we deserve help no matter where we live in the UK.
