Support an immediate ceasefire, humanitarian access and accountability in Gaza.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Publicly support an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Use all available diplomatic channels to press for immediate, safe and sustained humanitarian access into Gaza at scale.
Because there is a clear humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Urgently review and suspend UK arms export licences where there is a clear risk of use in violations of international humanitarian law. Support the independence and ongoing investigations of the International Criminal Court and other international accountability mechanisms.Advocate for the protection of medical workers, humanitarian personnel and civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law. Press for safe and independent access for international journalists and media organisations.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

There is already in formal terms a ceasefire in place and the UK Government has repeatedly advocated for better humanitarian access in Gaza. You could start a new petition setting out more clearly what new actions you would like the UK Government to take.
