Petition
Call an early General Election to restore democratic accountability
Rejected
20 signatures
What the petition asks
We call on the Government to dissolve Parliament and call an early General Election so the public can decide whether they support the UK’s involvement in escalating international military action.
The Government has taken decisions relating to military involvement and international conflict that could have major consequences for the UK and its citizens. Decisions that could risk escalation and draw the UK further into war should have clear public support. An early General Election would allow the public to decide whether they support the Government’s approach and ensure democratic accountability.
