Petition

Address the Impact of Hard Water on Public Health and Wellbeing in the UK

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

I ask the UK Government to research the health effects of hard water, including skin irritation, eczema flare-ups, and scalp problems, and take steps to reduce water hardness in affected regions through improved water treatment. I want to reduce harm to public health, even those with sensitive skin.
Millions of people in hard water areas experience dry, itchy skin, scalp irritation, hair damage, and worsening conditions like eczema. For many households this is unavoidable and affects daily health and wellbeing. People spend money on filters, treatments, special products. I ask the Government to research the health impacts of hard water and consider solutions to reduce its effects in highly affected areas. It has made simple daily tasks much harder than they should be. This must change.
