Provide means-tested tax relief on private school fees.

What the petition asks
The government spends around £8,560 (plus an additional £6000 for SEND pupils) per child in education annually. We think there should be a means-tested tax relief on private school fees to maximise the number of parents funding their child's education rather than taking government-funded places.
Assuming parents fund education privately for around 625,000 students, including with SEND, this could save the tax-payer around £5.9billion. In our view, given the population growing, the quickest and most effective way to elevate education standards for every child is to utilise effectively private school places to take strain off the state system and reduce class sizes. We think policies leading to the liquidation of many private schools benefit the education of no child in the country.
