Petition

Keep Sir Winston Churchill on the £5 note

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We want the government to fully rule out the proposed changes to the £5 note imagery and to confirm that Sir Winston will NOT be removed from the note.
To recognise the history of this nation and to remind everyone that Sir Winston is the reason we are still living in a free country today. He was one of the very few who recognised and stood up to the fascist regime of the Nazis to protect this island and her people. He faced tranny head, on to preserve our way of life, to protect our rights and to protect our freedoms. There is NO just reason as to why Sir Winston is being taken off the £5 note and he should always be respected and admired as one of Britain's finest ever leaders.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Bank notes are the responsibility of the Bank of England, which is independent of the Government and Parliament.
