Petition
Elect a care commissioner for mental health
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Elect a care commissioner for mental health so that many charities local health services can provide after care and the right support for people who are struggling badly, been wrongly discharged and so many other problems. Along with updated training and guidance.
Mental health is a top priority and it needs improving right away, not years later.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand you are concerned about improving mental health services, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Care Commissioner to do. For example, would they be an advocate for patients? Or would they commission all mental health care in England? Would they be responsible for the new training and guidance?
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
