What the petition asks
We call on the Government, taking into consideration the funding comes from a tax paid by employers, to:
1. Pause the withdrawal of funding the 16 apprenticeship standards for over 22 year olds.
2. Undertake a full and transparent review and public consultation before any final decision is made
1. Pause the withdrawal of funding the 16 apprenticeship standards for over 22 year olds.

The Government’s apprenticeship reforms aim to support people, but withdrawing key standards without consultation risks major skills gaps. Leadership, management, coaching, assessment and care standards are vital for public services, productivity and social mobility. Withdrawing key apprenticeship standards without review risks deepening skills gaps. Protect capability, fairness and opportunity—pause and reassess. We ask for evidence‑based transparent reform and a full review before withdrawal.
