What the petition asks

I want them to make access to period products free for everyone as many women and girls living in poverty cannot afford period products. It is natural for this to happen to female and they shouldn’t be forced to be ashamed of this happening to them.

According to ActionAid UK around 2.8 million women and girls living in the uk live in period poverty, that is around every 1 in 5 girls. This is unacceptable as it is a natural effect of being female and we cannot change it. For too long women and girls have been forced to to hide and be ashamed of their bodies and as a country we say we are one of the most progressive, yet women and girls have to live with the shame of simply being a woman. Do you believe this is acceptable and can continue?
