What the petition asks

Put a cap on fuel prices in the same way Ofgem sets energy price caps for gas and electricity.

Whenever there's the slightest shift in anything globally, fuel prices skyrocket even if it hasn't had a direct impact on the wholesale price of fuel. The prices take an absolute age to come back down again and impact the general public just as much, if not moreso, than gas and electricity prices.

It's about time the government stepped in to stop this blatant profiteering on the back of the general public, and puts a cap on the price we can be charged at the pump!

Why it was rejected
