Petition
Remove VAT on energy and fuel during the cost of living crisis
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
We want the Government to temporarily remove VAT on domestic energy and road fuel to reduce the cost of living. As prices rise, VAT increases the burden on households. This should be reduced to 0% until prices stabilise.
Households are struggling with rising energy and fuel costs. As VAT is applied as a percentage, higher prices increase the tax burden automatically. Energy and fuel are essential, not optional. A temporary VAT cut would provide immediate relief, reduce pressure on living costs and support economic stability during this crisis.
