Petition
Require fair treatment for hospital parking charges when payment made

What the petition asks
Introduce rules requiring parking operators in hospitals to cancel or reduce charges where a driver has made a valid payment in good faith, even where a minor error (such as incorrect car park selection within the same site) has occurred.
Patients attending hospitals are often in distress or under time pressure and rely on parking apps that can select incorrect locations within large sites.
In cases like mine, payment was made and the vehicle left within the paid time, yet a charge was issued due to a minor location error.
This penalises patients despite no loss to the operator and adds unnecessary stress.
Hospital parking operators should take a fair and proportionate approach where payment has been made in good faith.
