Increase support and awareness to help IPF sufferers

What the petition asks
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is life limiting. There is no cure, it's caused by scarring on the lungs which gets worse, breathing reduces, you end up reliant on oxygen & death is inevitable. Once diagnosed we experienced in our case no real support at all.
I want the Government to improve the level of support for IPF & to make more people aware of this life limiting disease. There are 36,000 diagnosed IPF sufferers in GB. We want them to have the same support as those who are diagnosed with cancer and not just to be left on their own to find answers. We need more support groups, and trained designated nurses who can support them through this harrowing time as well as more awareness of this disease with adverts etc. IPF is a killer just like cancer so give us a voice too.
