Petition
Ban alcohol, and Members being under the influence, in Parliament.

What the petition asks
No longer should it be acceptable to drink alcohol within the Houses of Parliament, nor indeed to sell it to members at a tax payer subsidised rate. Members of the Houses are employees of the public and it should be as unacceptable for them to be under the influence at work as it would anybody else.
There is rightfully no other role in the public sector where it would be acceptable for an employee to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol in any measure during their duties.
Members of Parliament are not only the most well paid of all private sectors, you are making decisions, on a daily basis, that directly involve the lives of tens of millions of your constituents. It is absolutely disgusting that you are doing this while under the influence at all, let alone subsidised by the public
