Petition

Change For children with Special Educational Needs.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The current system for assessing children’s needs is overly complex and fragmented, causing long delays and leaving many children without help.
Health Visitors should be trained and empowered to carry out early screenings and refer directly for further assessment, reducing back‑and‑forth between agencies. A single, unified digital pathway is needed so professionals can work together efficiently. More funding must go into educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and inclusive school spaces. Every child deserves timely support and a calm, sensory‑friendly environment to thrive.
