Introduce a cap on how much companies can charge for public EV charging

Open for signatures 53 signatures

What the petition asks

I would like the government to review how much some companies are charging for public EV charging and introduce a cap on the prices.
With more energy companies now offering EV/Eco5/Eco7 tariffs at home for cheap overnight charging at less than 10p per kWh and more people going "green" by purchasing an EV, I find it astonishing that companies are charging between 70-90p per kWh which for a long range battery would cost around the same price as a petrol car.

I believe the government should review this and introduce a cap to encourage more people to go green.
