Call for an international investigation into missing Alawite women in Syria
Open for signatures
19 signatures
What the petition asks
We ask the UK Government to call for a independent international investigation into reports of disappearances, alleged abductions, coercion, and forced sectarian conversion of Alawite women and girls in Syria, to press for the protection of minorities, and for accountability.
Many families have raised concerns about missing girls in Syria. Some families dispute videos and statements claiming relatives left voluntarily, alleging coercion and intimidation. Reports from media and human rights groups have increased fear among minorities. We believe the UK should support human rights, the protection of minorities, transparent investigations, and accountability for any abuses.
