What the petition asks

I want the Government to set up a regulator for all Media within the UK. It’s important that the Media of all types report the facts, and face prosecution for voicing opinions that are not supported by facts.

The UK have a media controlled by persons outside the UK who constantly spread disinformation and outright lies in order to deliberately upset the smooth running of our communities by inciting violence and are influencing our way of life in a way that is decremental to our society. The people in the UK live in a cosmopolitan society and we get along for the most part. We don’t need or want outside influences that are designed to upset our cosmopolitan society in order to influence it.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

We currently do have a regulator for all media outlets in the UK: Ofcom
