Petition
Make insurance companies lower or cap there prices for young drivers
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Introduce regulations to cap excessive insurance prices for young drivers, improve transparency on pricing, and ensure fairer premiums. Young people should not pay thousands for basic insurance after already spending heavily to learn and pass their test.
Young drivers are being unfairly priced out of driving. Many spend over £1,000 learning to drive, then face insurance quotes higher than the value of their car. This limits access to work, education, and independence. While risk should be considered, current pricing is excessive and punishes responsible drivers too. Parliament should act to make insurance fairer, more affordable, and properly regulated for young people
