Petition
Do NOT Trial Digital ID on the Isle Of Wight
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
The Isle Of Wight is not a test ground. The talks to trial digital ID here have not been discussed with any residents and is being forced on an unwilling community. Richard Quigley obviously has no respect for his people and allowing this would be another big blow for an already dying Island.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Although I have read the exchanges in parliamentary questions and am aware of articles in the Computer Weekly magazine about this, the Government has not announced any plans to use the Isle of Wight to trial Digital ID.
