End the use of the term child prostitution in official documents and UK Laws

What the petition asks
We call on the Government to remove all references to child prostitution or any other variation of the term prostitution in relation to children. The language used matters and impacts victims for life.
The Government has already recognised this term is inappropriate by legislating to expunge references to it from victims’ records. However, the same language continues to exist in some official documents and legal documentation. We believe this creates a damaging double standard. A child cannot consent to prostitution. Any sexual activity involving the exploitation of a child is abuse. We feel this needs to also be reflected in all official documents and Laws.
