What the petition asks
We call on the UK Government / House of Commons to:
1. Reverse FWS v SM and restore to full effect the EqA 2010 and GRA 2004 to protect the ECHR rights of trans people.
2. Reject the draft Code of Practice on services and associations.
1. Reverse FWS v SM and restore to full effect the EqA 2010 and GRA 2004 to protect the ECHR rights of trans people.
2. Reject the draft Code of Practice on services and associations.
The publication of the draft Code on Services and Associations on Thursday 21 May 2026 has brought into sharp focus the way in which the Supreme Court judgment in ‘For Women Scotland v Scottish Ministers’ of April 2025 has interfered with the rights of trans people in the UK.
Reversing FWS v SM and rejecting the code will restore the right of trans people to live as full citizens of the UK.
Trans, non-binary and intersex people deserve to play a full part in society as their genuine selves.
