Petition

Allow high school students to bring smartphones to school.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Uk schools like caterham high school are only allowing basic phones to be brought and not smartphones, many disagree with this and we would like to be allowed to bring smartphones to school.
Many disagree to this action, and in Caterham High School, it was decided by the head teacher alone with few agreements from staff, representing the schools with this rule or a ban of phones in general, I request that smartphones should be allowed at school, not to use, but to bring, it is more efficient for texting if you are in danger, and students feel more comfortable bringing them, please consider my request.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Govt has guidance about the use of mobile phones during school hours but doesn't have a policy on whether they can or cannot be brought into schools - that is a matter of policy for individual schools.
