What the petition asks
The Westminster government’s Health Bill removes an important part of the existing 2006 National Health Service Act, including the legal requirement for nursing representation on Foundation Trust boards.
It is vital nurses are represented at board level for nurses and for patients.

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
The Government has already reinstated the requirement for nursing leadership on foundation trust boards in England in the Health Bill, which is currently making its way through the UK Parliament.
