Petition
Objection Against New HMOs in SE18/SE2
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Residents of SE18 and SE2 object to the unchecked growth of HMOs. Our communities are losing family homes, facing increased parking problems, noise, and declining quality of life. We call on the Council to protect established neighbourhoods and put residents before overdevelopment.
SE18 and SE2 are experiencing rapid change through the conversion of traditional homes into HMOs, often without sufficient consideration of the impact on local communities. Residents are concerned about increased housing density, parking shortages, and the gradual loss of the family-focused character of our neighbourhoods. We call on the Council to introduce stronger controls and ensure that the needs of long-term residents, families and local businesses are properly protected.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This is a local issue and a local authority matter - not the responsibility of the Government.
