It’s on operators to step up and stop gambling harm before it’s too late

What the petition asks
Gambling operators must do more to identify & protect vulnerable customers before serious harm occurs. Stronger safeguards, earlier intervention & better affordability checks are needed to prevent people from losing more than they can afford and falling into financial, emotional and social hardship.
I’m Jake, a recovering gambling addict. I know firsthand the pain this addiction causes—financial strain, broken relationships, and emotional turmoil. Gambling can destroy lives before anyone realises. I’m speaking out to raise awareness and urge operators to take responsibility, protect the vulnerable, and prevent others from suffering the same devastating consequences I endured.
You should not be able to lose more than you can afford. I nearly lost my life and I won’t sit back and do nothing.
