What the petition asks
The Bank of England's decision to replace historic UK people of achievement on bank notes is to lessen recognition of the UK's global historic contribution of democracy, academic, literary, scientific, medical achievements. HM Government is requested to intervene and instruct the BoE to cease.

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Banknotes are the responsibility of the Bank of England, which is independent of the Government and Parliament.
